The New & Improved SnazL

WE’re back everyone!

The NEW SnazL is back, and we aim to be place where you, your friends, and your fans can connect and interact from anywhere on the web- in real time or anytime. SnazL is not your playlist, or my playlist - but OUR virtual living room where we all can gather, view, discuss, and share together. It’s a place for ongoing life-like conversation, and we aim for it to be as good as in real life.

Why does it matter whether we can watch the same thing at the same time?
Our humanity is that we respond to one another creatively when given the opportunity to have shared experiences. Take a minute and remember the last time you were at a real life party with all your friends or at a conference hall where everyone was experiencing the same thing BUT each of you present had a unique response to the circumstances. Most likely you had ideas pop into your head as you listened and reacted to others around you. You probably learned something new about friends you already knew well.

But social media has often been be isolated and isolating. Although much of our online life is geared towards discovering, curating, and sharing media, SnazL is the ONLY place where we can connect with our friends to experience these media together. By embedding the SnazL on our profiles, blogs, and websites, we can even interact across web locations. Our friends can easily take the whole conversation, content, and community with them to them and pull in their own friends. And its easy to use.

SnazL also shifts the balance to more creativity on the web and less management. It empowers YOU the individual, and not different websites, to be the hub and center of your online world. Manage your media and conversation across multiple websites from one source- SnazL. Post something once to the SnazL, modify the media afterwards, or update the conversation from ANY SnazL and the updates will simultaneously occur across all the web locations where you’ve embedded the SnazL. Create SnazLs on different topics- travel, food, music- and pull your friends together to discover and enjoy together with you.

SnazL is a new idea born from our passionate belief that by enabling rich massive conversations we can drive creativity and collaboration even faster. We appreciate your support and feedback on the SnazL service as we aim to put the social in media again.

Thanks,

Ameeda Chowdhury, Co-Founder

SnazL “puts the social in media” today with Twittamentary virtual interactive screening

We’re doing a public preview of SnazL TODAY to host the first virtual get together and interactive screening for Twittamentary, the first crowd sourced documentary on Twitter and the real-time web’s impact on its users. Think of a SnazL as your virtual living room, a place where you and your friends can get together to watch, share, and discuss interesting media content even while remaining on different web locations. We were so excited about this project we decided to open up our platform. The screening will be in real time and from across multiple web locations. The film is by Tan Siok Siok and co-executive produced by Jeff Pulver of the #140 Conference and Geo Geller, the inventor and artist. See the Video about SnazL Here’s me

I met Geo at Gary V’s book signing less than 2 weeks ago where we connected over our mutual excitement about the real-time web evolution as well as our own personal involvement in it, he through his work with Jeff and Twittamentary and I through my work on SnazL I met Siok through Geo that very cold weekend in downtown New York City.

We at SnazL and Twittamentary decided to collaborate almost instantaneously because of our passionate belief that when we empower people to virtually connect in a shared real time experience that emulates the richness of meeting in real life, we open up new opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and action. Twittamentary’s collection of stories come from people from all walks of life and celebrate the power living and connecting in the moment on the real time web that Twitter pioneered; Siok & Geo captured the first of many wonderful stories during their cross-country trip by Greyhound this past week and at the #140 Conference in LA. We will be releasing a SnazL today that includes videos of some of the first unedited stories combined with music, videos, and images produced by some great people in the community.

We need YOU- your feedback, ideas, stories, and support- to create the best Twittamentary by the people for the people. Here’s how you can support:
-ADD YOUR STORY! Add in videos, images, and audio that reflect your story to the SnazL by clicking the playlist button.
-Check out the Twittamentary SnazL and ask your friends to log in, too.
-Watch the stories together and brainstorm some ideas for the film
-Give us some feedback through the chat
-Tell your friends- tweet out the links, post to Facebook, email, text, write it on a cupcake- to be a part of the action and bring in THEIR friends
-Grab the SnazL by clicking the “Share” button at the bottom of the player

AND- we would love your feedback on SnazL. Please email us at team@SnazL.com or at www.twitter.com/ameedahc

Anyone can view the SnazL, but sign in to interact.

Siok, Geo, and I will be on SnazL most of the day directly from the 140 Conference today, and bringing our friends on throughout the day. Come join us!

UPDATE: We’ll be adding more content to the SnazL throughout the day. Please add your own content as well.
